Our values are teamwork, customer focus, innovation, and commitment to safety.About The OpportunityWe are looking for motivated, experienced, and energetic individuals who have a passion for providing safe and engaging classes to join our Key Venues team as Aqua Group Fitness Instructors for our aquatic and leisure centres at:Blacktown Aquatic CentreCharlie Lowles Leisure Centre Emerton.Position PurposeThe role includes:Conducting group exercise classes to attract the maximum participation levelFacilitating quality customer service through a competent, committed and confident approach.Cycle/RPM, Aqua Aerobics, Yoga, Zumba, or other Les Mills qualified instructors are very much encouraged to apply. If you have a passion for group fitness and are driven to exceed member expectations, this is the role for you!EssentialQualifications and experienceAccredited Fitness Leader (AUSactive, Fitrec, Physical Activity Australia or equivalent)Current CPR CertificateExperience working both within a team environment and as a self-starterExperience of working with schools, corporate groups, sporting clubs and/or associationsCurrent Working with Children Check.DesirableCurrent First Aid CertificateAccredited Group Fitness Instructor (e.g. Step)Accredited Les Mills InstructorAccredited Aqua InstructorAccredited Boxercise InstructorAccredited Yoga InstructorAccredited Pilates Instructor.Remuneration And BenefitsThe salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Councils Enterprise Agreement.For non-teaching hours, the entry level for this position starts at $33.4529 per hour plus 25% casual loadingAn hourly class rate applies at $60.00 for this positionCasual working hoursPenalty rates apply for weekend shiftsTrainee rates apply for applicants under 19 years of ageEmployee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.This position has been identified as child related work, in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013.
