Led by Executive Chef Alex Yu Sokyo is a creative collision of Ritual Meets Arts, brining theatre like experience to your table.At Sokyo, you''ll be reporting to the senior culinary team, offering a unique opportunity to curate an experience that seamlessly merges tradition and artistry, honoring Japanese customs and rituals while adding a modern Australian flair.You will be responsible for creating a fresh, positive, and exciting environment where safety, flawless delivery, and execution of product excellence will be key.This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for food & beverage.A few of your responsibilitiesThorough knowledge of the entire menu, including an understanding of all base products and ingredients used.Food is prepared for food presentation, in line with menu requirements and kitchen standards (SOPs)Be able to perform complex cooking duties and produce a dish/recipe, from a combination of ingredients without supervision and assist mis en place across all sections.What we will be looking forHigh end culinary experience, preferably with Japanese experienceCan- do team attitudeStrong knowledge of food safety regulationsTrade certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)You will be experienced in high volume kitchen environments with sound knowledge across all sections. These roles require comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and OH&S standards and taking pride in keeping your section stocked and tidy.
