Enhance your technical skills in a dynamic environmentBe a part of a leading continuous improvement teamCompetitive salary package and benefitsSafe and inclusive workplace culturePosition Summary:This position is responsible for attending plant and equipment breakdowns, completing scheduled routine preventative maintenance and providing technical assistance within a continuous improvement environment to optimise the manufacturing process.Primary Accountabilities:Analyse, develop and implement programs for plant optimisation, including but not limited to, downtime reduction to drive towards new targets, future expansion, new equipment implementation and commissioning, equipment improvements and on going continuous improvement programsFollow maintenance planning schedules in order to maximise quality production outputMaintain and develop computer driven manufacturing equipment and control systemsApply mechanical solutions to the automatic transfer of material, components or finished goodsDevelop creative solutions, within the bounds of fundamental principles, technical standards, and safety limits, to come up with best practice manufacturing processesProvide assistance and training to plant operators for equipment maintenance and useAssist in developing tests / fixtures for components and finished products to ensure the product meets quality standards and operating requirementsBuild working relationships with production operators to identify and solve technical problemsLiaise with contractors and suppliersTake full accountability for personal safety and well-being, develop an understanding of risk minimisation and be committed to achieving the highest possible standards for Safety, Health and the Environment (SH&E)Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives.Essential Skills & Experience:Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter3+ years of experience with mechanical fixed plantExpertise in hydraulic fault diagnosisKnowledge of manufacturing processes and steel fabricationAbility to work shift patternsCapability to interpret hydraulic and pneumatic drawingsDesirable:Formal hydraulic qualificationsForklift licenceApplicants must also be prepared to undertake and pass a pre-employment medical inclusive of drug and alcohol test."As part of our diversity and inclusion journey, Capral is aiming to increase the representation of women across our businesses.
