We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.Full Time Permanent position (80 hours per fortnight)Salary range: $63,840.40 - $75,462.40Great staff benefits! 5 weeks annual leave and salary packagingBased at The AlfredThe DepartmentThe Adult and Older Adult Department provides integrated treatment, care and support in the areas of treatment and therapies; education, wellbeing supports; peer support and self-help and care planning and coordination.The AMAH Adult and Older Adult Department will ensure that older adults continue to benefit from sub-specialist services while also gaining access to a wider range of existing and planned services in such areas as therapeutic services, AOD, trauma informed services, addictions, family violence and sub-acute access in line with the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Victorias Mental Health and part of our implementation of the requirements presented in the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022.The RoleThe Allied Health Assistant (AHA) works closely with the multidisciplinary Allied Health team at the Greenhouse to provide a flexible and responsive service that works to meet each patients identified therapeutic and discharge goals.The position is responsible for the implementation of individual interventions and/or therapy programs, as delegated by the treating therapists. The AHA will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide services that include provision of delegated therapies, provision of appropriate equipment and aids as prescribed by Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), assistance with paperwork and referrals to facilitate discharge, and liaison with external providers to obtain information to progress care or facilitate discharge.
