As a CNC Operator, you will play a vital role in the production process within the Propac brand, contributing to the manufacturing of high-quality products. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development.**Key Responsibilities:**Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and millingInterpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirementsMonitor the performance of machinery to ensure efficiency and accuracyConduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards of productionMaintain a clean and safe working environmentCollaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns effectivelyAdhere to health and safety regulations at all timesThe ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and be proficient in interpreting technical drawings. They should also possess excellent attention to detail and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. HMPS Propac is committed to providing a supportive workplace where employees can thrive and grow in their careers and as a part of development in this role further training will be provided on CNC programming to level up your skills.**Skills and Experience:**Trade qualified Fitter/Machinist with Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent idealProven experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment with strong manual machining skillsProficiency in operating and maintaining various workshop machinery and toolsWillingness to engage in manual mill and lathe activities in CNC machine operating and down timeAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsKnowledge of different materials and their machining requirementsFamiliarity with quality control processes and standards in a workshop environmentStrong attention to detail and precision in executing machining tasksGood problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with machineryEffective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a teamAdherence to health and safety regulations in a workshop setting**Desirable skills - training will be provided:**Experience as a CNC Operator (Lathes specifically) or similar role beneficialBasic understanding or exposure to CNC programming (G-code/IGF-Interactive Graphic Function)Experience with specific control systems (Okuma)At HMPS Propac, Australias leading machine manufacturers, we are passionate about delivering innovative end-of-line packaging automation.
