This position will access the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) data for Aboriginal child immunisation records, facilitate liaison and build relationships between relevant parties including communities, parents, Aboriginal Medical Services, other immunisation providers and other stakeholders and assist in the delivery of strategies to improve timely Aboriginal immunisation coverage.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following CriteriaHolds or is willing to enrol for the Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or a relevant area of health care or equivalent work experience in health or community services.Aboriginality (under section 14D of the Anti-Discrimination Act).Knowledge and experience of working within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Australia with ability, willingness and commitment to engage in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities living in Northern Sydney Local Health District.Preferred experience in a government or community organisation dealing with community or health issues.Need more information?Click here for the Position DescriptionFind out more about applying for this positionFor role related queries or questions contact Karen Chee on Karen.Chee@health.nsw.gov.au or 0435 642 891This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
