About The Project John Holland, Stantec, and KBR are partnering with Sydney Water in an Alliance to deliver the North-West Treatment Hub. This brownfield treatment program includes a $500 million upgrade of Rouse Hill and Riverstone wastewater treatment facilities. The project aims to achieve circular economy outcomes, increase recycled water production, improve wastewater byproducts for reuse, and leverage innovative treatment technologies to reduce carbon footprint. Upgrades will support treating an additional 45 megalitres of wastewater daily, catering to growing northwest communities. The project will also deliver a new state-of-the-art biosolids facility at Riverstone, utilizing new technology to improve wastewater byproduct quality. About The Role John Holland''s Northwestern treatment plant project requires a Safety Coordinator to join the team. Main responsibilities include: Monitoring compliance with safety systems and procedures, and supporting the project management team operationally. Researching and assisting in developing safety policies and procedures specific to the project. Administering safety programs for project employees. Assisting with workers'' compensation claims and rehabilitation, including injury management. Conducting incident and accident investigations, potentially involving litigation. Performing routine safety inspections and monitoring work areas. Developing and driving the monthly KPI activity tracker, working with the Project Manager to identify high-risk work and schedule inspections accordingly. Establishing positive relationships with project personnel and raising safety risk awareness. Developing communication tools and records for safety meetings. Providing safety performance and statistics feedback to the project team. Building relationships with contractors, field staff, and client representatives. Participating in safety and risk workshops to identify and assess risks during planning. Ensuring GMR controls are in place before activities begin. Reviewing and monitoring site safety documentation for compliance and assisting with updates. Driving the weekly toolbox talks and organizing presenters to engage the team.
