Job Description

Health and Safety Advisor supporting clinics in Melbourne, promoting safety culture and compliance within a leading diagnostic imaging provider.Your RoleKey responsibilities include:Providing health and safety advice to key stakeholders, including regional managers, frontline clinic operations management, and health & safety representatives on matters related to health and safety, workplace wellness, emergency management systems, and safe work practices.Collaborating with frontline operations management and clinic staff to promote a proactive safety culture.Supporting the Group Health & Safety Manager in developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and maintaining the organizations health & safety management system.Assisting operational leadership teams to undertake and review risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure known risks are managed effectively.Supporting the functioning and coordination of health and safety committees and consultation mechanisms across the business.Assisting in the development and provision of training and support to staff on safety procedures and protocols.Supporting the investigation of incidents and ensuring corrective actions to prevent recurrence are implemented.Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager and working within the broader People & Culture support services function.Occasional interstate travel to clinics in TAS, SA, and NSW several times a year.About YouTo be successful in this role, candidates will have:An emerging health & safety professional who has a keen interest in radiology or health care.Qualifications in Health and Safety.Some practical experience in a health & safety role or a background in healthcare or radiology settings (advantageous).High-level computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate online learning or incident management systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and providing practical health & safety support across a devolved business structure.Access to a car and a valid drivers license, as regular travel between sites is essential.Compensation & BenefitsPermanent full-time role with flexible hybrid working arrangements.Salary package circa $95,000 depending on experience.Strong, inclusive team culture that values collaboration and respect.Great work-life balance with flexible working across Geelong and Melbourne.Recognition programs celebrating successes.Corporate benefits including paid parental leave, retail discounts, travel savings, and health benefits.Access to Fitness Passport with 1,000+ nationwide fitness locations.Convenient free onsite parking in Geelong.Training & DevelopmentClear career growth and tailored development opportunities.Support to establish and develop practical skills in health and safety within a healthcare environment.Work alongside an experienced and committed team.Career ProgressionOpportunity for career advancement within a leading ASX-300 healthcare organization.Exposure to a diverse workload supporting frontline staff and operational leadership teams, fostering professional growth in health and safety.How to ApplySubmit your application via IDX Careers or contact Aaron Piscopo for a confidential conversation.
