This role will genuinely make a lasting impact.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the strategic vision for safeguarding across the BCE systemBuild and lead a multidisciplinary team focused on safeguarding and student protectionOversee complex risk assessments, case reviews and investigationsLead audit and assurance processes, and synthesise findings into systemic improvementsProvide expert advice, clear frameworks, training and reportingCollaborate with stakeholders including students and adults at risk to shape safe, inclusive environmentsPromote a culture where safeguarding is everyones responsibilityAbout YouTo be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:An inspirational leader who creates a positive team environment where the team flourish and are supported to be their best.Relevant tertiary qualifications in child protection, law, social work or a related field.Demonstrated experience in safeguarding or student protection within Queensland education, community or government sectorStrong understanding of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, National Catholic Safeguarding Standards, and Queensland legislation.High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills, leading change in a large complex organisation.Strong analytical skills and ability to navigate complex, sensitive matters.Eligibility And Safeguarding RequirementsEligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointmentPositive Notice Blue Card for working with Children.Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement.Why choose BCEBenefitsJoin us and be part of the largest Catholic Diocese in Queensland, nurturing your personal and professional development goals.
