Its why our people stick around, whether you live in the city or across regional and rural Victoria, were doing the work where it matters most - right in your own community.As Victorians electrify everything from homes to transport, were focused on ensuring our networks are ready to meet that demand.If you want to be part of something essential, be essential with us.About the Role:We currently have an exciting opportunity for a experienced Electrical Plant Maintenance Officer to join our Maintenance team in a full-time and permanent capacity based at either of our Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong or Brooklyn depots.The role itself is responsible for providing key technical field expertise and knowledge to assist in coordinating the delivery of the electrical plant maintenance program within CitiPower and Powercors zone and distribution substations, including Regulators, ACRs and other related distribution plant and equipment. This involves the creation, issue and subsequent technical evaluation and closeout of all routine, fault and defect job files.About you:You are a proactive and enthusiastic professional who enjoys technical challenges, working in a team and liaising with stakeholders to get the job done. By having a detailed approach, you will be responsible for raising, managing and closing out maintenance work through SAP ensuring all steps are taken according to the policy standards and timeframes.We are open to accepting applications from both junior and senior applicants for this role.What youll deliver:Technical evaluation, prioritisation (as required) and responsibility for initiating and monitoring work status and target date achievement for routine primary plant and secondary systems maintenance.Effectively monitoring all maintenance (Routine, defect and breakdown) activitiesManagement and timely input into SAP of Primary, Secondary and Property maintenance data, including faults and defects informationEquipment and functional location creation / update SAP data base post equipment replacement and network augmentation projects, cost monitoring and control, accurate reporting, and forecastingIdentify and provide recommendations for process improvements and potential opportunities to add value to the plant maintenance delivery program and to the businessActively support and gain employee engagement in new or modified processes and systemsProvide technical support to; and liaise with key stakeholders to modify, update or risk assess delivery outcomesProactively provide technical feedback to plant engineers or other key stakeholders around plant condition and maintenanceEnsure all relevant reliability, technical, OH&S and statutory information and requirements are incorporated into job scoping, reporting and feedback to various stakeholder groups.To succeed in this role youll have:Advanced Diploma of ESI - Power Systems; Power Systems Electrician / Fitter qualification or relevant technical experience in HV distribution industry.Substantial experience in electrical plant maintenance, testing or construction of Terminal/Zone and distribution substation plantAbility to interpret and effectively apply Standard Work Practices and Maintenance Instructions particularly as they apply to secondary system activities for plant and equipment up to and including 220kVWorking knowledge of the primary and secondary plant as well as the electricity transmission and distribution networks (including design principles)Exposure to project management methods, tools and techniquesDemonstrate initiative and lateral thinking in resolving issues and problemsWell-developed communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectivelyDemonstrated attention to detailWorking knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office programsYour career with us:We have a diversity of teams across our business, all contributing to great customer and community outcomes.
