This is a unique opportunity to take full accountability for one of NSWs most operationally diverse coal sites, including CHPP operations, tailings and water management, HSEC, , while representing the business at Joint Venture (JV) level.Reporting directly to the Vice President Australian Opencut Operations, you will lead approximately 100+ employees and contractors in a 24/7 production environment. This is a critical, visible leadership role requiring a balance of strategic oversight and hands on operational direction.As the appointed Wambo Mine Operator Representative and a key member of the Joint Venture Management Committee.Your Key AccountabilitiesLead the full site complex including CHPP (12 mill tone per year), HSEC, tailings and water managementRepresent Peabody in the Wambo JV Management Committee and act as the appointed Mine Operator RepresentativeDrive site wide strategy, performance, and compliance in alignment with corporate and JV objectivesLead and support a multi-disciplinary leadership team across operations, maintenance, and projectsNavigate legacy underground obligations following mine sealing, including statutory compliancePromote a high-performance, safety-first culture with continuous improvement at the coreAbout YouWe are looking for a seasoned and respected leader who thrives on complexity and challenge.
