Every Patient Matters.Job DescriptionWe are seeking enthusiastic Sterilising (CSSD) Technicians in a casual capacity reporting to the CSSD Manager. You will join a well-supported, dedicated and busy CSSD workforce that will expand your skills and experience. A supportive and comprehensive orientation program will support your transition into this role. At Epworth we perform a wide range of complex surgeries across all specialities. The recent introduction of the T-Doc instrument tracking system will assist you in your everyday practise to identify robotic, navigational and complex custom-made instrumentation.To be successful in this role-You are flexible to work across various shifts, are highly motivated with good problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt and embrace constant changes within a working environment.You will have-Certificate III in Sterilisation or equivalent preferablySound understanding and knowledge of infection control requirements and Australian Sterilising Standard (AS5369-2023)Excellent team work skills with ability to work collaboratively within a busy team with changing priorities and work demandsOutstanding customer services skills with ability to build close working relationships within the CSSD team, the operating theatres and other key areasExcellent communications skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to use computer systemsHigh level of understanding of OHS, with good manual handling techniques and basic level chemical safety within the sterilising servicesAn understanding of and commitment to quality improvementsAbout Epworth RichmondPosition Description Inherent RequirementsEpworth Richmond is a rapidly growing, fast-paced and dynamic teaching hospital where you will work alongside top-flight practitioners in all areas.
