Field Based RoleROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Operational & NSO Manager liaises with Support Office Equipment procurement manager, Project Manager, Operation Managers, Contractors, Freight Contractors, Leasing Agents, and IT Contractors for the delivery and setup of new stores physically. They are responsible for updating project progress to keep the team informed on current status and timelines. Additionally, the successful candidate will support the Operations Manager in their day-to-day role and help troubleshoot issues within the existing store estate.QUALIFICATION AND WORK SKILL REQUIREMENTS/OPTIMALStrong project management skills.Experience in opening new retail stores, preferably in the discount sector.Confident and dynamic personality.Strong creative outlook.Ability to identify, select, lead, and coach team members.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.Intermediate computer skills.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESHigh presentation standards, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.Customer service focus.Understanding of the retail environment.Enthusiasm for working within a team environment.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Layout of store according to the approved plan.Unpacking and erecting shelving as per floor plan.Assisting with setup of checkouts and back-office desks.Fitting out lunchroom (tables, chairs, kettles, etc.).Building bins and placing them in designated locations.Managing and directing store/area team members.Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure projects stay within timelines and are accurate.Receiving goods and securing invoicing.Opening and lock-up procedures.Ability to work independently without supervision.Meeting set timelines and deadlines.Performing other duties as required and directed.Fostering a positive and enjoyable workplace environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
