It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.Reporting directly to the Surveillance Shift Manager, the Surveillance Trainee Operator will be recording, investigating and reporting threats to casino revenue, safety of persons and the integrity of gaming operations at The Star Brisbane.Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in the role no prior surveillance experience required.A few of your responsibilitiesMonitor and report on all critical incidents across The Star BrisbaneMonitor alarm systems and co-ordinate an appropriate response via communications systems to relevant operational departments and emergency servicesMaintain a constant vigilance to identify record and report activity affecting casino revenue, illegal or undesirable activity and gaming integrityInvestigate and report on activities that potentially pose a threat to the integrity of the operations and casino statutory obligationsReview CCTV footage to resolve all gaming inquiries and disputes from internal and external customersVideo record and document potential misconduct claims against staff and patronsWhat we are looking forThe ability to work weekends and nights on a 24/7 rotating rosterThe ability to reliably work in a small, very dynamic, team changing environmentThe capacity to prioritise daily workload to ensure the efficient and effective performance of their positionA growth mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional developmentCurrent Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation & Responsible Service of Gambling accreditationAbout youThis position will be responsible for ensuring the protection of company assets, as well as the safety of team members and patrons. This will involve the detection of cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal or undesirable activities within The Star complex. You will receive full, hands-on training to build the skills and confidence needed to thrive in this role.
