We handle safety, systems, branding, and training to deliver life-changing experiences, and we are expanding.Responsibilities & DutiesProvide strategic advice and support to the Executive General Manager Community Engagement & Commercial in setting operational strategy.Lead, support, and manage regional teams to achieve goals, ensuring safety, competitiveness, profitability, customer focus, reliability, productivity, and risk management.Ensure service delivery meets internal and external standards, consulting with local councils, community groups, politicians, and service providers as needed.Manage relationships with suppliers, customers, industry partners, and government representatives to meet operational objectives.Business DevelopmentSupport membership growth and retention through regional plans and volunteer collaboration.Identify opportunities for business improvement and new ventures.Build relationships with community groups and decision-makers for new sector, activity, or service opportunities.Assess potential partners, perform market research, evaluate deals, and develop business cases for new initiatives.Create new services by combining existing offerings and generate leads to expand market sectors.Operations ManagementAssist regions and volunteers with planning, delivering, and measuring growth initiatives.Ensure optimal use of properties and resources for sustainable growth.Promote Scouts NSWs profile regionally to enhance reputation.Support policy development, updates, and reviews.People Management & PerformanceFoster an inclusive, respectful team environment that celebrates diversity.Provide coaching and development to maximize team potential.Identify learning needs and support professional growth.Manage team performance, HR issues, and compliance with policies and legislation.Stakeholder Management (Leaders, Community & Members)Enhance Scouts NSWs external profile through community engagement and partnerships.Oversee partnership opportunities and relationships.Develop initiatives to improve member, volunteer, and community experiences.Build links with community groups and attend regional events and meetings.Engage with government representatives and key business figures.Monitor financial performance, address underperformance, and manage budgets and grants.Compliance, Safety & Risk ManagementImplement practices to mitigate risks and ensure safety for all stakeholders.Ensure consultation on risk management and incident reporting.Follow policies on safeguarding and safety, promoting a safe workplace.Ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and legal requirements.Qualification, Training & ExperienceTertiary qualification in Business, Facility Management, Community Services, or Administration (desirable).5+ years senior operational leadership experience, preferably in a not-for-profit with volunteers.Proven ability to manage multi-site operations and develop strategic relationships.Experience in financial management and budget development.Skilled in stakeholder engagement, dispute resolution, and issue management.ClearancesScouts NSW is committed to being a ''Youth-Safe'' organisation.
