You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.In this role, you''ll:Right now, we have an opportunity for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Maintenance and Delivery team in Yennora on a 9-day fortnight working Monday to Friday.In the role you will undertake maintenance and repairs on a range of plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment. Youll have no hesitation taking on duties involving installation, maintenance, repairs, commissioning, and modification of complex hydraulic/pneumatic machinery.We provide an inclusive and collaborative space to develop your skills and share your knowledge across the team. Therefore, there may be occasions where you may be required to supervise apprentices or staff assisting other mechanics across the area.Mechanical Tradesperson Grade 1-3 is multi-graded. The starting grade is assigned based on demonstrated skills and experience. Progression through the grades is automatic provided the employee can demonstrate they have the skills and capabilities required for the next grade.About youIt is essential that you have completed either a Heavy Vehicle Mechanical trade or a Plant Mechanical trade.You are an ambitious, collaborative and qualified mechanical tradesperson who enjoys working autonomously.You have good problem-solving skills and fault diagnosis skills and youre proactive in dealing with customer complaints by being effective and efficient in your approach.With a strong focus on safety, you have the ability to identify, communicate and report environmental hazards in the workplace and understand the quality requirements of the tasks to be performed within this position.Experience working with a variety of Heavy Vehicles will be highly regarded.An AIS Examiners Ticket is highly desirable as will any experience in welding and metal fabrication.You must hold a current unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle drivers licence.You hold/or are willing to obtain a Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid drivers licence.You hold/or are willing to obtain prior to commencement a current Construction Industry White Card.You must have a willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed.TfNSW take the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously therefore to be eligible for this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a reasonable distance from Yennora Depot.The wage range for this position is $1,418.40 to $1,569.80 per week plus superannuation and allowances dependant on qualifications & experience. 9 Day Fortnights 4 weeks annual leave iPad & work phone supplied.
