Job Description

Based in Port Botany Bay, Sydney, this role is responsible for coordinating and supporting the administration of contractual activities for container terminal and logistics park development projects at Port Botany and other locations across Australia.Key responsibilities include liaising with headquarters on contract coordination, managing internal approvals for payment applications and budget changes, and contributing to cash flow forecasting and progress tracking.The ideal candidate will bring experience from large-scale infrastructure projects and a strong understanding of contract administration within complex project environments.Key Responsibilities:Manage payment applications and approvals, etc.Assist and support the team in continuous improvement of contract administration systems, enhancing documentation workflows and efficiencyAssist the Project Team with commercial tasks, including preparing change requests, variation orders, and managing claimsContribute to risk management efforts by identifying potential project risks and supporting the development of mitigation strategiesMaintain organized and systematic records of contract documents and correspondence using the SharePoint platformEnsure adherence to DP Worlds OHS&E safety standards and all relevant statutory compliance requirementsQualifications, Skills and Experience required:Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related fieldMinimum of 35 years experience in large-scale infrastructure or port projectsFamiliarity with FIDIC, Australian contract law, and construction contract frameworks (e.g., AS 4000)Working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PMBOK 6th Ed. preferred)Proficient in contract management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS ProjectExperience collaborating with clients, contractors, and consultantsStrong understanding of procurement, commercial management, and construction budgetingSkilled in tracking payments, managing cash flow, and cost controlExcellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilitiesAble to manage pressure and meet deadlines in fast-paced project environmentsExposure to construction insurance, PPPs, or government-funded projects is a plusAbout DP WorldTrade is the lifeblood of the global economy, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for people around the world.
