Identifies patients at high nutritional risk, assesses nutrition needs and nutrient requirements, develops and implements the nutrition care plan for all assigned patients. Continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy intervention. Provides nutrition education to patient and family members. Fosters continuity of care among all phases of the system. Participates in performance improvement and research activities. Supervises room service coordinators and/or diet technicians and mentors dietetic students. Actively assesses, evaluates and maintains professional development and competency.Formal Education RequiredBaccalaureate degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable majorSuccessful completion of coordinated program or dietetic internship of not less than 900 hours under the supervision of a Registered DietitianRegistered dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic RegistrationLicensed dietitian (LD) by the Ohio Board of DieteticsExperience And Training RequiredOne (1) to two (2) years of position related experienceOther Skills, Competencies And QualificationsAbility to operate a computerMember of the American Dietetic AssociationPopulation Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignityEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled$28.58/hr - $34.30/hrThe salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
