YLZ Truck Bodies is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Welder / Metal Fabricator to join their team in Pakenham VIC. Responsibilities: Read and analyze blueprints and drawings. Use TIG and MIG welding techniques. Examine welds for bead width, penetration, and precision. Weld vertically, horizontally, and overhead. Weld various metals using different techniques. Cut, roll, shape, bend, mold, spin, heat, or hammer metal to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies. Heat treat metal parts and components. Set up and operate hand tools, machine tools, and welding equipment. Assemble parts and structures by welding, bolting, or riveting. Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing, or applying protective/decorative coatings. Skills & Abilities: Certificate III in Engineering (Welding Fabrication) or equivalent qualification. Minimum of three years experience in a similar role. Ability to work in a team environment. Salary range is $70,000-$85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Full-time position available.
