Permanent Manager - Accounts Payable & Payroll job opportunity with a Technology organisation located in Melbourne CBDPosition SummaryThe Accounts Payable and Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounts payable functions and managing the company''s payroll operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, compliance with regulatory obligations, and supporting a positive employee experience.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableManage the full accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and paymentsMaintain vendor relationships and resolve queries or discrepancies promptlyOversee the reconciliation of accounts payable ledger and supplier statementsEnsure compliance with internal controls, policies, and proceduresAssist in month-end closing and reporting related to accounts payablePayrollManage and process end-to-end payroll for Australian employees (and other jurisdictions if applicable)Ensure compliance with relevant awards, legislation (e.g., Fair Work, ATO), and company policiesPrepare and submit payroll tax, PAYG, and superannuation paymentsReconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and provide monthly payroll reportingManage employee payroll queries and maintain confidentiality of employee dataOversee year-end processes including STP finalisation and payment summariesSkills and ExperienceProven experience (5+ years) in a similar Accounts Payable and/or Payroll Manager roleStrong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and modern awardsExperience in a publicly listed company environment is highly desirableHigh proficiency with accounting and payroll systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP, or similar)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentRelevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplineCPA/CA qualification is advantageous but not essentialWhy Join?Join a thriving tech innovator at the forefront of industry changeWork in a collaborative and inclusive culture based in Melbourne''s vibrant CBDFlexible work arrangements and ongoing career development opportunitiesAttractive remuneration and employee benefits packageHow to ApplyIf you are an experienced finance professional with a passion for accuracy and process improvement, and you''re ready to take ownership of both AP and payroll functions, we encourage you to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
