RPAH is one of Australia''s leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.The Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Program at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA) is a highly complex state-wide surgical service, incorporating pre- and post-operative care, and involving high-volume multidisciplinary team meetings and clinics. Both the RPA Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Clinic, and Bone & Tumour Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (BTM), are held weekly and require extensive administrative support and planning to deliver safe, high-quality and efficient patient care.The Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Program Administration Officer is responsible for coordinating administrative and secretarial aspects of the RPA Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Program with a high degree of autonomy. Duties relating to the clinic and BTM primarily involve compiling referral information, results and correspondence, minute-taking, preparing letters and other documentation, communication with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and capture of National Weighted Activity Unit (NWAU) activity to ensure ongoing successful service delivery. Given the volume and complexity of this service, the Administration Officer must possess excellent organisational skills with an ability to monitor workflows, set priorities and evaluate the quality of work to ensure administrative support for the state-wide service is of a high standard and in line with operational requirements, policies and procedures. The Digital Health Informatics knowledge required to manage the administrative workload for this service, needs to be of a high level, with the ability to troubleshoot over 10 different software packages that are unique to this service.For more information, please view the Position Description.Ideal CandidateExcellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work under limited direction, monitor workflow and set priorities in a high-pressure environment whilst adhering to operational timeframes and ensuring the quality of outputs.Previous administration experience essential (preferably in a clinical environment), with proven high level computer literacy including in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), typing skills and ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar software and programs.Understanding of Medical Terminology or certificate demonstrating completion of same.ONLY PERMANENT EMPLOYEES OR TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES WITH 12 MONTHS CONTINUOUS SERVICE WITH SYDNEY LOCAL HEALTH DISTRICT ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.Benefits and Perks!Accrued Day Off each month, paid Parental Leave & Annual Leave loading.Opportunity for extra tax savings through Salary Packaging and Novated Leasing.
