Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.The Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Program at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA) is a highly complex state-wide surgical service, incorporating pre- and post-operative care, and involving high-volume multidisciplinary team meetings and clinics. Both the RPA Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Clinic, and Bone & Tumour Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (BTM), are held weekly and require extensive administrative support and planning to deliver safe, high-quality and efficient patient care.The Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Program Administration Officer is responsible for coordinating administrative and secretarial aspects of the RPA Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Program with a high degree of autonomy. Duties relating to the clinic and BTM primarily involve compiling referral information, results and correspondence, minute-taking, preparing letters and other documentation, communication with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and capture of National Weighted Activity Unit (NWAU) activity to ensure ongoing successful service delivery. Given the volume and complexity of this service, the Administration Officer must possess excellent organisational skills with an ability to monitor workflows, set priorities and evaluate the quality of work to ensure administrative support for the state-wide service is of a high standard and in line with operational requirements, policies and procedures.
