The Finance Manager will drive improvement projects independently and deliver those projects with minimal oversight. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Financial and Tax reporting:Controlling the P&L and Balance Sheet for the local fund business by application of technical accounting, risk management and regulatory reporting knowledge.Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, including quarterly and financial reports of the Fund.Review the funds tax reporting function including income tax and GST returns for the fund entities.Working closely with fund analyst/s to forecast income tax, cash management and fund distributions. Identify any cash management risks and present to the financial controller.Monthly review and analysis of property results presented by construction and project management teams and report any risks identified to the financial controller.Prepare transaction memorandums with relation to technical accounting considerations for audit review.Ensure business partners such as the fund team and internal project team are appropriately supported by the finance and accounting team.Provide support with training and developing direct reports and other junior members of the teamPreparation of balance sheet reconciliations and projects performance reports.Preparation of technical accounting papers and assist with Audit review both internal and external.Preparation of tax working papers for liaison with internal and external tax providers.Ensure accurate and timely calculation and payment of fund distribution.Ensure appropriate controls across the platform to not compromise the integrity of financials.Policy & ComplianceIdentify and assist with implementation of policies and procedures (when required).Identify and report risks in controls that would compromise statutory and fund compliance.Ensure that calculations are within the parameters of the fund.Assist with debt monitoring and compliance reporting.QualificationsMinimum Requirements include:Bachelors degree in Accounting or commerce.CA designation is required.Seven or more years professional accounting experience.Experience within property, asset management or fund sector desirable.Ability to work independently to delivery the necessary outcome for the fund and business partners.Track record of stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills is essential.Solid accounting system knowledge.ClosingHines is a global real estate investment, development and property manager.
