Focused on delivering our Vision2025+ strategy and evolving our transport and supply chain model, the Transport & International Supply Chain Manager plays a key role in ensuring we deliver exceptional customer experiences.Reporting to the Head of Value Chain Strategy and Partnerships, you will oversee the operational execution of inbound/outbound transport services locally and domestically, and manage procurement and partnerships with transport providers.Your team will ensure cost-effective product availability, high service levels, and operational excellence, enabling our omnichannel teams to provide outstanding customer experiences. This role emphasizes continuous improvement in a rapidly changing retail environment, balancing current delivery with emerging trends in transport and supply chain management.What YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKECustomer Obsessed & Delivering Service Like No OtherLeverage emerging capabilities to meet customer and commercial targets.Align Standard Operating Procedures, End-to-End Exception Management, and SLAs across David Jones, supported by clear KPIs and reporting.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure optimal outcomes, championing best practices and building business capability.Support ongoing operations across various sites during business disruptions.Driving Commercial & Operational AchievementProcure and oversee inbound and outbound third-party transport services.Utilize data to identify opportunities for commercial efficiency.Ensure service levels, sustainability, and financial targets are met.Implement strategies aligned with David Jones Vision 2025 and transformation programs.Procure services following company policies and manage contracts effectively.Develop and execute pricing strategies for cost-effective services.Build and maintain relationships with strategic service providers.Maintain price benchmarking programs for proactive decision-making.What YOULL NEED TO THRIVEProven experience in a similar role, with transformation and change management expertise.Hands-on experience with Distribution Centre transformation preferred.Strong procurement and contract management skills.Customer-centric mindset, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities.Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.Digital fluency and industry knowledge, especially in large-scale transport and B2C deliveries.Negotiation skills and ability to analyze complex data for insights.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical, and financial skills.Why work for us?Our purpose at David Jones is to inspire like no other.
