We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest packaging companies in Australia as our Banksmeadow site is looking for a Demand Planner to come onboard!The key focus of this role will be to:Deliver demand planning leadership for the business, establish and lead S&OP cadence and best practice process to ensure well informed decision makingManage demand forecasting, provide analysis and root causes to drive customer collaboration to improve demand forecast accuracyBe the subject matter expertise of SAP APO system and use of Power BI/ AI-powered planning system to improve planning efficienciesLead the implementation of statistical forecasting models to generate accurate demand forecastsConduct data analytics and reporting by using Power BI to dashboard to manage forecast trends, new product development, promotional demand plans and product life cycleUse demand plan to formulate inventory optimisation strategy to reduce SLOB risks and improve inventory turnover ratesManage business risks resulting from demand trend and gain consensus on critical path elements for risk mitigation plans across the value chainWe can offer a varied career journey with experiential learning gained from cross-functional and lateral moves. We embrace diversity in all its forms, and we look for curious individuals who thrive in an environment of change.We are looking for someone who possesses the following:Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) | Demand Planning and Statistical Forecasting | Financial Modelling | Data Analytics | Supply Chain Optimisation | Inventory Management | Continuous Improvement | Scenario Modelling | Risk Management | Dashboard Design and Development | Capacity Planning | Negotiation and Influencing | Integrated Business Planning (IBP) | Safety Leadership | Bulk Coastal Shipping | Change Management | Team Coaching and DevelopmentMin 5 years of demand planning and statistical forecasting experience within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment with a large number of SKUs across multiple production sitesExperience in leading Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), demand & supply planning KPI dashboard, decision matrix and driving solutions to mitigate risksIntermediate to advanced experience with the SAP APO system (SAP Advanced Planning and Optimisation) for demand planning purposesAbility to perform financial modelling, scenario modelling and strong analytical and technical skills with an ability to work with complex data setsFamiliar with inventory management, capacity planning and related interfaces with demand planning across the supply chainExperience in building and maintaining internal and external relationships with stakeholders, to identify and forecast industry trendsExcellent communication skills; written, verbal and listening (the ability to clearly explain and communicate complex data and trends)Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (experience in tools/ functions such as: Power BI & queries, v and x lookups, pivot tables, etc.)Excellent attention to detail and a outcome-driven mindsetApplications are open to both internal and external candidates.
