You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.In this role, you''ll:Primarily be focused on performing modification and upgrade works to passenger trains, contributing directly to the ongoing performance, reliability, availability and safety of the Sydney Trains fleet. This also includes inspections, maintenance, overhauls, and repair systems, equipment and components.Focus on attending to defective passenger cars at the maintenance centre, analysing technical problems and taking actions to allow trains to remain in or return to service where possible. Supporting efficient operations and minimising service disruptions through customer service-related tasks is also part of the role.Carry out inspections, service, maintenance, overhaul, problem analysis, fault finding, repairs, modification and upgrades to components changes and functional testing to equipment and components on passenger trains.Report directly to the Maintenance Shift Managers & Team Leaders, working in a team consisting of Rail Maintainers and Engineering support staff.Willing to be trained so that they can operate plant equipmentThese are shift-based roles in a 24/7 environment, you will work as part of a team to support our network and as such will be required to work night shift, weekend work and overtime.The advertised pay rate does not reflect / include penalties and allowances incurred with a 24/7 rotating shift roster.This is a 12 months Temporary full-time opportunity and is based at HornsbyDo you want to experience a Day in the life of a Rail Maintainer?
