Participate in laboratory SHE&C processes and initiatives.Undertake all work in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with statutory requirements and Covalent policies & procedures.Participate in and support laboratory and quality audits where appropriate.Participate in incident and near miss investigations where appropriateContribute to the Continuous Improvement culture of the laboratoryEnsure procedures for every task are adhered to (including QA/QC protocols)Instrument Operation (including Calibration, Maintenance & Readiness activities) as required.Water Quality TestingSample preparation (including dewatering, filtration, splitting, pressing & grinding)Fusion, Digestion & Leaching of SamplesParticle Sizing (including wet & dry laser diffraction & sieve sizing)Gravimetric analysesSpectrophotometric analyses (including ICP, AA, UV-Vis & Colour)Titration analyses (includes instrumental and manual)LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)Report QC (Quality Control) non-conformances to Laboratory SupervisorTrain team members where necessaryRole Requirements3 5 years of experience in mining or chemical processingDemonstrated experience following QA/QC systemsExperience with ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) or AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer), Auto titrators, UV-VisKnowledge of Laser Sizer and/or experience with SievesExperience with sample preparation: Pulveriser, Press, and/or riffle splitter (desirable)Experience with fusion and digestion protocols for elemental analyses (desirable)A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the role, candidate experience, skills and qualifications will be offered.Our team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
