Every Patient Matters.Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity for a permanent Part-time/Full Time role for Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Epworth Freemasons in Clinical Pre-admission. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough pre-admission assessments, identifying potential risks, and ensuring patients are well prepared prior to their admission. The Clinical Pre-admission Nurse works closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and support patients through their pre-admission journey. The Clinical Pre-admission service runs Monday to Friday with flexible work hours available, according to operational requirements.You will make an impact by:Clinically phone screening all medical and elective patients prior to admissionIdentifying, documenting and following up on patient risksLiaising with surgeons, anaesthetist, and allied health professionals to optimise patient care plansTo be successful in this role-Current Nursing AHPRA registrationAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamStrong assessment, critical thinking and communication skillsDemonstrated experience in a similar roleAbout Epworth FreemasonsPosition Description Inherent RequirementsEpworth Freemasons consists of two sites. The Main Hospital is on Albert Street East Melbourne has a total of 12 operating theatres.The Victoria Parade site is just across the road and consists of an additional 6 theatres, including our Maternity wards. We often share staff across the two sites.Freemasons primary specialities include- Orthopaedics, Gynaecology/ IVF, Urology, General, Plastics, ENT, Maxfax, Ophthalmology, and Endoscopy. Car Parking is available on both sites at a discounted rate and easily accessible from Parliament Station.Additional InformationAt Epworth, everybody matters.
