See yourself in our team:Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Groups relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services.The Business Oversight team is responsible for the Line 1 Operational Risk Management across Commodities, Trade and Carbon (CTC) including: implementation of the Operational Risk Framework, control monitoring and reporting, trade surveillance, advising and challenging on business risk issues.This function supports the CTC business in the alignment of our business activities management of risks to achieve with fair outcomes for our clients and to protect market integrity, to meet regulatory requirements and protect our people.Do work that matters:The Manager/Assoc Dir CTC Risk Oversight will be a trusted advisor and support for operational risk related matters and be responsible for providing tools that assist with the management of operational risk across CTC.You will leverage your knowledge of the end to end finance markets environment to coach & advise the Business on effective application of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF).A key responsibility for this role includes:Support the design and implement / support the business to design and implement controls and develop process maps to enable better risk and compliance outcomes, providing guidance and advice to senior leaders on their application.Ensure risks are profiled and captured in the Business Profile and updating if appropriate when risk trigger events occur.Drive continuous improvement of the business control environment by using data to generate insights and recommend courses of action.Provide stakeholders with insights and suggested actions with regard to Operational Risk and control profiles, issues, incidents and other matters.Improve awareness and understanding for CTC on all requirements of the ORMF and on roles, responsibilities and accountabilities under an effective three lines of defence operating model.Maintaining records and evidence of non financial risk activitiesWe''re interested in hearing from people who have:Outstanding written and verbal communication skillsWell developed organisational skills with a high attention to detailFinancial Markets experience and product knowledgeAbility to build relationships with diverse stakeholdersProficiency in Excel, Word and PowerpointControls design experienceIf you''re already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you''ll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application.
