Employee Wellbeing Benefits including discounts to 400+ retailers.The opportunityReporting to the Plant Manager, the distribution manageris responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Export Distribution Department, ensuring that all customer orders are fulfilled completely, accurately, and on time. This role is also responsible for maintaining compliance with all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) standards and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements, while driving efficiency and service excellence across the department.Duties and Responsibilities include:o Hold regular team meetings to discuss staffing, production schedules, and performance updates.o Participate in meetings with the Plant Manager and provide daily production reports and issue updates.o Engage in team discussions and contribute constructive feedback. Production Efficiencyo Plan daily production to maximize efficiency and reduce costs, aiming to stay under budget.o Monitor and maintain efficient product flow throughout the operation.o Ensure the production area is operating in a cost-effective and timely manner. Quality Assurance & Health, Safety, and Environment (QA & HS&E)o Ensure all team members always comply with QA AND HS&E requirements.o Conduct toolbox talks at least once every fortnight.o Promote and improve health, safety, environmental standards, and overall welfare of staff and animals. Machinery & Equipment Managemento Record all machinery downtime daily in the designated register.o Ensure all equipment is maintained to a high operational standard.o Generate Maintenance Request Forms (MRFs) as needed. Customer Complaints & Continuous Improvemento Follow up on customer complaints, ensuring all related processes are followed correctly.o Provide timely feedback and implement solutions to resolve issues effectively.o Report any interdepartmental issues to the Plant or Production Manager before acting. Performance & Complianceo Focus on achieving and exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).o Ensure adherence to the Instrument of Delegations and all company policies. Other Dutieso Carry out any other reasonable and lawful duties as directed by your manager and the company.What were looking forSwickers has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team. As a key member you will: Certificate III in Meat Processing or equivalent skill set and experience. Previous Experience in supervision and Driving a team environment.
