They are now seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer / Mechanical Engineer to join their growing construction business.Our clients project portfolio includes work in the corporate, hospitality and government sectors to name a few and projects will be from smaller up to about $100m+.As Building Services Engineer / Mechanical Engineer, you will provide support, advise and consult on the technical aspects of the design and installation of building services from pre-construction, commissioning and hand over. You will be assisting and reporting into a Building Services Manager.You will be working out of head office with some site visit.ASAP start for the right candidate. Will be a 3 to 6 month contract.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Lead the coordination of services with the project teamManage weekly site meetings of all services sub contractorsMonitor, review and comment on services drawingsPropose and investigate alternative services designs and/or installation methodsAssist the project team with detailed planning of project specific risk assessmentsEnsure safety compliance on all projectsIdentify critical hold pointsQualifications and Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Engineering or Science or Services related qualification with additional experience to equate to degreeMinimum 2yrs to 5yrs or potentially up to 10 years experience in a similar role within the construction industryConstruction Safety Induction White CardProven expertise in services installation and management in the construction processProven knowledge of relevant codes, standards, internal policies and contractsDetailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements and standardsProficient construction planning and programming skillsStrong leadership capabilityAbility to communicate effectivelyThis is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with an established organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
