This is a permanent part time position, working Monday to Friday, 6 hours a day. Some shift work may be required.Our Laboratory Technicians are responsible for testing samples and reporting results throughout production to ensure specifications are met for all our manufacturing processes.Why should you join the team at Norco?Work for a successful, iconic and reputable Australian companyBe a part of a friendly, supportive and hardworking teamOn the job training providedEnjoy a competitive hourly rateExciting And Challenging ResponsibilitiesConduct analyses of raw and finished productsEnsure accurate test results and reporting in a timely manner for effective product releasePrepare chemicals required with operation of machineMaintain, calibrate and trouble shoot laboratory equipmentPrepare daily/weekly/monthly reportingLaboratory waste control, washing up, cleaning of laboratory and equipmentMonitor weekly stocktake of laboratory consumables and order as requiredLiaise with multiple departments to help drive a quality culture across the siteSkills And Experience Required To Succeed In This RoleFormal Qualification - Science, Food Tech or Laboratory Degree/Diploma/CertificateWorking experience in Lab environment (at least 2 years)Experience with lab instrumentation (UPLC, GC or similar highly desirable)Ability to work independentlyUnderstanding of HACCP and GMP principlesStrong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word and ExcelDemonstrated compliance to Quality / Safety standards, procedures and practicesHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailWell-developed verbal and written communication skillsSafety first mindsetDisplay behaviours that are consistent with Norco Co-operatives values of Authenticity, Agility, Diversity and Connection.Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment medical, including a Drug & Alcohol testIf you feel that you are the right candidate for this role, we would love to hear from you!
