This role involves partnering with business leaders to provide expert, data-driven guidance that aligns people strategies with business goals. The ideal candidate will lead employee-centred design initiatives, champion DEI and support talent and performance development. They will bring expertise in complex employee relations, remuneration and a global outlook. Additionally, they will work closely with the broader P&C team to improve processes and operational efficiency, contributing to a high-performing, inclusive and engaging place to work.What you will doDevelop strong understanding of business unit strategies and proactively identify People & Culture needsProvide expert, data-informed coaching and guidance to leaders, translating business goals into effective people plansAct as a strategic business partner to leaders across the organisationDesign and implement employee experiences with a focus on empathy, engagement and continuous improvementChampion DEI by embedding inclusive practices across all people initiatives and fostering a psychologically safe workplaceCollaborate with leaders to support workforce planning, succession and talent developmentEnable performance by coaching leaders on best practices in feedback, growth and team effectivenessContribute to a positive and inclusive culture, supporting initiatives that drive engagement and retentionProvide expert advice on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fairness and compliance with ANZ and Canadian employment lawGuide and support change initiatives, helping leaders and teams navigate transitions effectivelyAbout youExtensive experience delivering People & Culture leadership in the Australian market; familiarity with Canadian and New Zealand contexts is a bonusDeep understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices, with the ability to champion and embed DEI initiatives across programs and strategiesSkilled in applying employee-centred design principles to improve people programs using data, feedback and continuous iterationStrong expertise in handling complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management and conflict resolution, with a focus on fairness and complianceProficient in remuneration and compensation strategy, including benchmarking, job evaluations and maintaining internal equityConfident in leading and supporting organisational change, helping leaders and teams navigate transitions with clear and effective communicationEquitable opportunities, growth, and development lie at the heart of how we work at EP.
