We are proud to be a leader in our industry, with a reputation for excellence and a commitment to creating a promising future for all.Based in Lonsdale, Adelaide, we are looking for a talented and experienced Account Manager.Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for representing SMR Australia commercially with key customer accounts. You will represent customer interests within SMR and develop business opportunities to grow existing sales as well as new business. The role is required to develop understanding of strategic developments with customers, possess a solid technical understanding of products, identify competitors and pricing benchmarks to ensure SMR is placed to grow sales opportunities and defend existing margins.Key Responsibilities:Manage and develop customer accounts. Prepare business quotations and win business opportunities in line with budget targets and sales plans.Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.Maintain and improve profitability margins for existing products.Support with administration and assist the team with marketing presentations and promotional material as needed.Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts, annual budgets and reporting for defined accounts/markets.Identify Business Development opportunities with sound technical understanding of product portfolio to grow sales.Work closely with the Engineering and R&D teams in the development of product plans for new technologies and business opportunities.Represent and negotiate on behalf of the company to maximise profitability while maintaining credible working relationships with all customers and internal stakeholders.Represent the company on customer/industry committees and conferences, if needed.What Were Looking For:3+ years experience in a commercial/B2B Sales/Business Development role or Customer facing Technical/Engineering role with some commercial skills.Demonstrable sales negotiation and contract award successes.Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite of applications, especially Excel.Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.The successful applicant will require:Minimum degree level tertiary qualification, preferably in business, commerce or engineering.As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, be exposed to global automotive brands, collaborate with brilliant minds in the industry, and be part of a company that truly values its employees.What we offer:Free onsite parking and subsidised canteenUnlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:How many years'' experience do you have as an account manager?
