And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered and we couldnt do it without you.Make a DifferenceThe Cardiac Cath Lab Interventional Rad Tech performs advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and peripheral vascular procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Cardiac Cath Lab Interventional Radiology Technologists are responsible for scrubbing, monitoring, and assisting providers as requested. Technologists respond with the team to patient distress situations and assist with equipment quality control and inventory management. 30-minute response time to CHVH required.Exceptional Skills And QualificationsPrepares patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing site of entry, - draping patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.Responsible for preparing and ensuring that all x-ray images are of good quality and x-ray related equipment for procedures are maintained.Scrubs during procedure, as applicable. Assists the physician in maneuvering catheters.Monitors and records hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating - hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.Participates in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.Assists in transporting patients to nursing units.Prepares the Cardiac Lab procedures rooms by ensuring that adequate stock is available.Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.Effectively communicates with members of the care team to deliver high quality, patient centered care.Education: Associate degree in Radiology or Completion of certification program in RadiographyLicense: Required: Current ARRT (R) and current license as a Radiologic Technologist by the State of IndianaWhy Community?At Community Health Network, we build teams that deliver exceptional care through empathy, communication and collaboration.
