Whilst we have been established in the hotel industry for more than 30 years, we are always looking to increase our hotel portfolio, thus ensuring on-going career development and promotion, for those employees that display positive intent, respect and a willingness to learn.The Crossroads Hotel is located in the major growth area of the southwest and boasts Food and Beverage Operations along with Functions, TAB, Gaming & Accommodation facilities. Everything we do is underpinned by our values Respect, Positive Intent, Enthusiasm and being Exceptional.What Youll Do:Communicate with clients to obtain details of events and plan executionCoordinate the requirements of events including AV, catering (food and beverage menus), set up, resources needed, running order, suppliers/contractors, bump in/out schedule, floorplans, etcCreate detailed event briefs within expected timeframes for the Front of house team to executeManage event budgets, negotiate contracts, drive revenue and ensure all costs are kept within budgetPlan, organise and execute a variety of events from start to finishCollaborate with the Venue Manager/Head Chef to execute event orders, organise run sheets and schedulesEnsure all functions and events meet the venues premium standards while staying within budgetLead a team of enthusiastic staff to ensure every event runs smoothly and exceeds expectationsBuild strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referralsContinuously seek ways to enhance the quality of functions and eventsStay updated on industry trends to maintain a competitive edgeSkills/Experience Required:At least 3 years experience as an Event Manager, coordinating premium eventsExperience coordinating events in excess of 500 paxStrong organisational, administration and time management abilitiesExceptional customer service & client management skills within eventsExperience, understanding and acumen in event planning and executionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA professional with previous experience in event planning or managementA creative thinker who thrives under pressure and is a problem solverA people person with excellent communication and leadership skillsOrganised, detail-oriented, and ready to juggle multiple projects, especially in our busy periodsWhy Join Us?Competitive salary along with a flexible work schedule to ensure a balanced lifestyle.Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.Opportunity to work in a growing industry and a well-established company.Collaborative and supportive team culture.If youre ready to take your event management skills to the next level, we want to hear from you!
