Last year, we housed almost 1,700 women and children, as well as supported over 300 homeless women. We have a particular focus on addressing the housing needs of older women, women with children, and women who have experienced domestic and family violence.Reports to: Tenancy Team LeaderContract: permanentHours of work: 35 hoursLocation:Liverpool/Surry Hills Greater SydneyOur ValuesAbout the roleWe have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Tenancy Manger to join our team. The tenancy manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in relation to tenancy management for an allocated portfolio of properties in accordance with relevant legislative and contractual requirements and within the guidelines of the Womens Housing Company (WHC) policies and procedures.Key AccountabilitiesProvide consistent high-quality tenancy management services to enable tenants to sustain their tenancies and support the provision of quality homes in the portfolio.Ensure the portfolio meets its financial goals and KPI targets through the effective management of tenancy inspections, rent and non-rent arrears and former tenant debt, property viewings and lease signings to support the void and vacancy programs.Support the Tenancy Services team to meet its compliance and legislative obligations by ensuring the timely and accurate recording of tenant information in the IT system(s) and maintaining strict adherence to operational and workplace policies and procedures.Managing breach of tenancy issues, as well as representing Womens Housing at NCAT.Maintain high levels of tenant satisfaction by ensuring the timely response to tenant enquiries, complaints and grievances and encourage participation in tenant feedback and survey opportunities.Support the business to enhance community development and tenant engagement programs by promoting and supporting the implementation of relevant programs with tenants.Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholdersQualifications, Experience, KnowledgeSocial Work Degree and/or Certificate IV in Social Housing, or equivalent.Experience in working with vulnerable people experiencing homelessness, rough sleepers, people experiencing domestic and family violence and mental health issuesMinimum 2 years experience in tenancy management and/or case management.Thorough knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and social housing policy and frameworkIntermediate skills in all Microsoft Office 2010 applicationsUnderstanding of social support service systemGood written and verbal communication skills including interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiateFull unrestricted working rights in AustraliaWillingness to undergo / possess a Working with Children Check and National Police CheckDrivers licenseHow to apply:If this role and life at the WHC sounds like the perfect fit, we would love to hear from you!Ready to apply?Your application should include your CV and cover letter telling us why you would be the best candidate for this role.Applications will be considered as they are received, there is no closing date.
