A Day in the Life Medtronic Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) provides technologies for the treatment of over 70 health conditions across four portfolios of solutions, serving >78M patients every year across both private and public hospitals. The Neuroscience (NS) portfolio is one of 4 portfolios in ANZ with A$250M in annual revenue, comprising five operating units: Cranial and Spinal Technologies, Neuromodulation, ENT, Neurovascular, and Pelvic Health. As the Senior Finance Analyst for NS, your responsibilities will include overseeing data & analytical finance activities, providing financial support and business analysis to finance partners to drive financial results and operational improvements. You will also own a full P&L for one NS Operating Unit, paving the way to becoming a finance business partner. This role reports to the NS Finance Manager within the NS Business Finance team. Key responsibilities include maintaining a strong data control environment, creating and analyzing financial performance, leading reporting and analysis transformation, and partnering across the organization. Responsibilities may include: Supporting financial reporting, closing processes, planning, and analysis for NS Operating Units. Delivering accurate financial results and comparisons at period end. Analyzing OU performance, preparing monthly reports, commentary, and forecasts, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities to leadership. Partnering with OU commercial leaders to develop the Annual Operating Plan, Rolling Forecast, and Strategic Plan. Collaborating with NS OU Finance Business Partners during forecasting and planning processes, including system loading of revenue, margin, expenses, and balance sheets. Developing data models and dashboards to extract insights from multiple sources. Using statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and root causes, and proposing performance improvements. Creating visualizations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards. Ensuring data integrity and accuracy for informed decision-making. Staying updated with industry trends in data analytics tools and techniques. Performing ad-hoc and standard reporting as needed.
