This is achieved by building EPC Contractor & End User relationships, identifying business opportunities via existing customer AVLs, quoting, negotiating and ultimately closing business opportunities with a view to commercial success and security for the Alco Valves Group.Role StructureThe Internal Sales Engineer is a unique role within Alco Valves Group Sales Department. Reporting directly to the Group Sales Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesAccountabilitiesUtilise Alcos network to ensure a robust pipeline of project opportunitiesIdentify end user specification to facilitate more opportunitiesCompile accurate quotations based on project enquiries, ensuring deadlines are met with specific emphasis on technical accuracy and feasibilityOpportunities must be followed up and regular communication maintained with the customerReview and mitigate commercial risk during negotiations and contract submittals, protecting Alcos interests at all times whilst following the companys commercial proceduresLiaise with all internal departments to ensure smooth running of secured projectAttend Internal Project Kickoff Meetings when required with each department headEssential/Desirable Skills RequiredSkill setProfessionalismExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsAbility to plan and prioritise tasks (time management)Ability to work effectively both within a team and autonomouslyA demonstrable level of technical competency and sales experienceA demonstrable level of project management experienceFlexible, creative and willing to take ownershipHigh competency level with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)Highly motivated/determined character with a passion for detailExperience in the valve Industry and/or the Oil & Gas MarketA qualification in EngineeringExperience working with multicultural organisationsGeneral InformationPlease NoteThe role is ideal for a motivated candidate with a desire to enhance his/her skills in a rapidly developing business with a highly experienced team.Overseas travel may be required as part of this roleHighly competitive and negotiable depending on experienceWorking Hours38.3/4 hours per weekTimes to be discussedTo be discussedCompany BackgroundFounded in the United Kingdom September 1977, Alco Valves Ltd. was incorporated with the express purpose of manufacturing a comprehensive range of technically advanced, precision made, high integrity valve products and accessories.
