Procurement and Contracts Manager opportunityApprox. $70-$75 per hour plus Super depending on experienceAssignment duration is up to approximately 3 months. Immediate StartMelbourne CBD locationAbout the roleGovernment agency requires an experienced Procurement and Contracts Manager to join them on short-term assignment for a duration of up to a period of 3 months based in Melbourne CBD. As the Procurement and Contracts Manager, you will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to establish and manage strategic, complex and high-risk business critical contracts and spend for goods and services, to drive down the total cost of ownership in accordance with the objectives of the agencys business plan.Key dutiesYour key tasks and responsibilities will include:Develop and implement appropriate procurement strategies and processes to deliver best value for money outcomesIdentification of opportunities to provide reduction in total cost of ownership across the business by engaging in spend analysis, market investigation and various stakeholder managementResearch and assess current and future supply markets to assist in the creation of a Category Management Plan and strategy processFacilitate the planning and execution of activities to deliver arrangements that meet business objectives described within the sourcing planning documentExecute and manage Request for Tenders, Quotations and Expression of Interest document as identified within the planning processKey Selection CriteriaThe skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:7+ years sourcing and contracts management experienceSound knowledge in best strategic sourcing practices customer focused with excellent influencing and negotiating skillsDemonstrated ability to plan, manage and implement complex sourcing and contracts management activities in compliance with Vic Government Procurement GuidelinesAbility to undertake complex and medium to high-risk contract negotiations to achieve best outcomesQualificationsAppropriate CIPSA certification for procurement or equivalentTertiary qualifications in a relevant field i.e. Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Category ManagementHow to applyPlease apply online using the appropriate link below forwarding a copy of your resume and cover letter highlighting your sourcing and contracts management and/or category management experience, your government experience and your suitability for the role.
