This senior role is pivotal in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive corporate secretarial compliance services to both our domestic and international clients. You will be responsible for ensuring all statutory filing deadlines are met while driving operational excellence and regulatory compliance across your portfolio.Reporting to the Regional Practice Lead, this full-time and permanent position is based in either the North Sydney or Melbourne office and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Co-sec department and its growth.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and driving standards in the team to undertake the following responsibilities:Lead and manage a team providing corporate secretarial compliance services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all filings under the Corporations Act and Regulations.Oversee inspection and review of company records and client documentation, proactively identifying and resolving compliance issues.Strategically coordinate and process ASIC annual company statements, Industry Funding, Audit Relief applications, solvency statements, and related regulatory filings.Manage company changes including officer updates, share transfers, company address and name changes, incorporations, and deregistration, ensuring all resolutions and ASIC forms are correctly prepared.Supervise relevant tax compliance registrations and liaise regularly with clients, internal teams, ASIC, ATO, and other key stakeholders, both locally and internationally.Determine and approve ad-hoc fees for additional services, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Provide expert technical guidance on complex compliance queries to local and global teams.Drive participation in compliance-related projects aimed at process improvement and operational efficiency.Maintain robust databases and tracking tools to ensure compliance accuracy and transparency.Oversee administrative functions including invoicing and billing within the team.Autonomously manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring full regulatory compliance and timely filing of required documentation.Mentor and contribute to the growth and development of the corporate secretarial compliance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Driving operational and strategic change to enhance operating efficiencies with processes, practices and the procedures.What youll bring:Tertiary qualifications in law, business, accounting, or financeGraduate Diploma in Applied Corporate GovernanceMinimum 5 years company secretarial experience, including at least 2 years in a professional services firmProven experience with CAS 360Strong knowledge of the Corporations Act and ASIC regulationsExperience managing complex client portfolios and leading diverse teams across multiple jurisdictionsExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders globallyStrategic thinker with strong attention to detailSound judgment and ability to confidently manage ad hoc challenges and drive compliance initiativesCompany Benefits:In our Australia offices, we believe in putting our employees well-being first!
