Opportunity snapshot:Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer is responsible for handling DevOps related activities (including test, build and release infrastructure) for multiple projects which are implemented to production system and maintain robust stable Cloud hosting Container platform for application environments. This will include designing and implementing processes and tools to support continuous integration, delivery, and testing. The Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer will be a proponent for good software engineering standards and practices..Your Contribution:Drive continuous improvement in DevOps & Configuration Management capability ensuring it is always relevant and meets the needs of internal customer groupsDefine best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing, and release managementLead large scale implementation of platform and services from inception through to production, maintaining quality documentation and procedures for the ongoing support of the platformBuild and maintain robust stable Cloud hosting platforms for application environments, AKS cluster deployment, operations, and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, PaaS, CaaS, Serverless) and Service Mesh (Istio).Ensure repeatable and consistent environments for applications with containers and reduce the overall cloud hosting costsEstablish rapid repeatable deployment patterns with docker images, Helm charts - zero touch no outage deploymentsContainer platform Lifecycle Management including capacity planning, sizing of environments to run in a cost-effective manner, and expiry dates for project environments Work collaboratively with delivery teams to achieve success through the adoption of Continuous Delivery and Dev-Ops practices & processesQualifications, training & ExperienceCI/CD Continuous Integration, Delivery & DevOps experience in Microsoft Technologies, Azure DevOpsExtensive Experience with MS Azure Platform and RESTful APIsIn depth knowledge of C# and .Net Framework, Strong PowerShell scriptingExperience in deploying PaaS solutions, APIs, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to Azure Hands-on experience with Container technology like Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, CaaS, Service Mesh Istio and best practice use from an operations and security perspective.Experience designing, building and deploying scalable applications & APIsAutomation for build and release management - automate and streamline operations and processesRelease Management utilizing Azure DevOps/VSTS mandatorySoftware development and Configuration management automationProven experience in build management & automation on multiple platforms Windows, Unix (Solaris & Linux)Demonstrated success in managing internal stakeholdersExperience with monitoring tools and tuning monitoring and alerting to minimise distributions and be confident of service deliveryWhats in it for me?As well as a competitive salary, a range of Bupa benefits and flexible working/work from home arrangements, youll be challenged and encouraged to innovate.
