As part of an upcoming expansion of the business, you will lead Menarinis compliance function across all areas to ensure the business is strategic and streamlined to meet customer and business needs. Empowered to identify, escalate, and mitigate risk, your work will direct Menarini towards meeting all expectations with regard to compliance, for both internal and external stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesCompliance Program and Strategy:Strategically lead and supervise the implementation and adaptation of Regional Compliance SOPs in line with relevant laws and regulations, Menarinis Code of Conduct, internal policies and procedures, and IPMG (International Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Group) and FCPA Code of Conduct, reflecting the company''s values and culture.Lead and take ownership of the day-to-day operational administration, implementation, and localization of Menarinis policies, standards, and controls relating to anti-bribery/corruption, trade sanctions, antitrust, and data privacy (Compliance Program) to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.Facilitate the Country Compliance Committee (CCC) Meeting regularly in consultation with the General Manager, to update the CCC on compliance-related topics and/or resolution of compliance issues in accordance with the Regional CCC framework.Partner, advise, and support the country leadership team and other internal stakeholders on the Compliance Program, and compliance obligations of Menarinis business partners.Liaise with Regional and Global Office on rolling out compliance initiatives locally.Regulatory Compliance:Monitor applicable laws, regulations, and industry developments relating to bribery/corruption, compliance, and ethics, updating local compliance SOPs as necessary, and communicating to internal stakeholders.Present to management on future and current risks, with relevant mitigations.Policy and Procedure Management:Ensure tailored policies reflect the unique risks and challenges of our industry and organization, demonstrating commitment to best practices and regulatory compliance.Ensure the business policies and procedures are in place, up-to-date, and are being met.Training and Education:Plan, roll out, conduct, and monitor the annual training program, ensuring relevant stakeholders are trained and all assigned training is completed.Evaluate training effectiveness and organizational needs, providing additional specific identified training to affected stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Legal, Medical, Human Resources, Sales, and Market Access to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare Ethics & Compliance periodic reports/updates for the Country General Manager and Regional Compliance on the implementation and effectiveness of the Compliance Programme, local compliance risks, and risk management actions.Ensure company activities, policies, and documentation are compliant with company, regulatory, and legal requirements.Lead the Country Compliance Risk Assessment process with support from local cross-functional stakeholders to determine high-risk areas for remedial action.Lead and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure closure of internal audit gaps, implementing relevant controls and remediation to manage the risk of the local entity.Conduct investigations in relation to violations of the Compliance Program (independently or in collaboration with cross-functional teams) and incident handling. Perform subjective analysis and make appropriate sanction recommendations to the Compliance Committee, formally reporting the investigation and outcome to the Head of Regional Compliance.Manage compliance-related activities such as ToV/Transparency reporting requirements, policy review, and dissemination through the business.Actively participate in MA Ethics Committee to increase Menarinis presence and reputation through inputs into MA meetings and code reviews.Actively participate in discussions related to the interpretation and application of the MA Code to specific situations and cases.Internal Audit and Monitoring:Create and maintain a lead monitoring plan for Menarini Australia, designed to ensure compliance and mitigate operational and financial risks within the local organization.Periodically monitor, evaluate, and enhance the Compliance Program to ensure alignment with Corporates Compliance Framework and that it is effective and tailored to mitigate local compliance or regulatory risks.Consult with the Regional Director, Ethics & Compliance to resolve complex compliance issues.Ensure the business is audit-ready by performing spot audits of processes and functions per the agreed annual compliance plan.Third-party Risk Management:Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential and existing third parties to assess their compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.Utilize third-party risk assessment tools and questionnaires to gather and analyze third-party risk information.Monitor third-party compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.Review and negotiate third-party contracts to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Line management responsibility.Manage coaching and development plans for direct reports.Manage performance review cycles for direct reports.Lead, develop, and direct overall portfolio performance.Support direct reports to deliver required performance levels in their teams.Develop and deliver performance standards.Address capability requirements or gaps across the compliance function.Qualifications Mandatory:Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline (e.g., Law, Commerce, Finance, Audit) or equivalent.Strong analytical thinking and working knowledge of US FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and Australia anti-bribery/corruption laws.At least 10 years of proven experience in Ethics & Compliance, Risk or Audit, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector, including leadership-related positions.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to understand and resolve compliance issues and challenges.Strong communication (written and spoken) skills.Ideal:Prior experience in the healthcare sector and compliance risk management within the Indonesian market is highly advantageous.Holds an internationally recognized compliance certification (e.g., CCEP-I).Strong working experience with compliance-related systems (e.g., third-party risk management platforms).Deep interest in and practical knowledge of pharmaceutical or healthcare Ethics & Compliance principles and their applications.We want the best to apply!
