As a Network Architect, you will be responsible for creating scalable, secure, and reliable network solutions, ensuring high performance and adaptability to future technological advancements. You will collaborate closely with other business teams to align network systems with business needs and strategic goals. This role "owns" the network, you will be expected to understand the physical and logical design, expand for growth and maintain it in accordance with best practices and documentation plus mentoring team members.The role can be remote with-in Australia and requires the successful applicant to undergo an Australian Police check. Australian citizenship is also required as the role requires Federal NV1 security clearance to be completed (or you already hold NV1 clearance).About YouAs a Network Architect, you have a deep understanding of networking technologies, network security, and architecture principles, along with the ability to support scalability and high availability within the network, expand for growth and maintain it in accordance with best practices and documentation. You possess strong analytical problem-solving skills, are perceptive and able to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. You are driven by a desire to achieve excellence in all aspects of your role and are committed to ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the Managed & Professional Services business.About The RoleAs a senior member of the team, you will be required to:Design high-level architecture for network systems including cloud-based networksDevelop and document network topology, configuration, and security standardsEvaluate and implement solutions for scalability, security, and performance improvementsConfigure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices in alignment with architecture plansEnsure that network solutions support business continuity, data privacy, and regulatory complianceImplement and monitor network security solutionsDevelop network policies and procedures to ensure secure access to network resourcesMonitor network performance to identify issues and opportunities for enhancementTroubleshoot and resolve network issues, including outages and degradationsMaintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configuration settings, and network management policiesProvide technical guidance and training to Network Engineers and support staffEngage with vendors and suppliers to evaluate new networking products and servicesKnowledge & Experience5+ years'' experience in a previous Network Architect role, preferably within Cloud Infrastructure, or similar role with a strong desire to provide service to the customer beyond their expectationsCloud and infrastructure environmentAbility to articulate business implications and risks in relation to the businessStrong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain conceptsOpen-minded and forward-thinking in terms of vision for the business and team cultureAbility to work as a team with decisions made to support moving toward common goalsProfessional certifications, tertiary qualifications in Networking or Computer Science or equivalent experienceIts easy to dismiss the perfect opportunity if you dont see yourself as the perfect fit.
