This role requires a deep understanding of SOX and other relevant compliance frameworks, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.Your key responsibilitiesLeading the execution of Assurance and Assurance Advisory services around risk assessment, controls evaluation, and compliance initiatives.Managing teams to deliver Business Process / IT Assurance / Audit engagements - including the execution of evaluating and design of controls in support of external and internal audits as well as Program Assurance engagementsAssisting in the preparation and review of reports for clients and other stakeholdersNurturing client relationships to achieve service expectations, deliverables and outcomesOpportunities to develop skills in emerging technology risk areas, such as AI, Blockchain and Cyber SecurityPartnering with internal and external teams, addressing compliance, financial and operational risk, and assessing current state internal controls and frameworks in order to mitigate current and emerging risksWorking effectively across multiple internal and external teams, building strong relationships across Consulting and Assurance teams and with ClientsEnsure client deliverables are on time and to the standard expected by the client and engagement partner/principalWhat we look forA passion for Assurance and Assurance AdvisoryOne or more of the following or equivalent +6 years of experience in providing Assurance or Assurance Advisory over Risk and Controls (Business Process and/or IT General Controls), Program and Project Risk Management services, Regulatory Compliance (e.g. Privacy, SoCI Act, ESG, SOX, Spam Act), Controls transformation.Practical and solution-oriented approach to assess new technology, and evaluate and advise on impact, risk and remediationHigh level communication and engagement skills, including exceptional report writing abilitiesStrong business acumen, commercially focused attitudeInspiring leadership capability with the motivation to develop others, build high performing teams and effectively delegate with appropriate levels of supportExcellent project management skills including ability to lead fieldworkCanberra - Current Australian security clearance, or the ability to obtain one is required for the Canberra office. Please note, Australian citizenship is required to obtain an Australian Government security clearance.Ideally, you''ll also have the skills and attributes below but don''t worry if you don''t tick all the boxes.
