With a strong growth trajectory and a pipeline of high-quality clients, were now looking to bring in a senior hire who can help us scale the next stage of the firm.The OpportunityThis role is for someone whos ready to step up not just into a job, but into a firm they can shape.Were looking for a confident, technically strong and commercially savvy Senior Manager who can take ownership of a portfolio (currently ~$400k$600k in fees), lead the delivery engine, and build meaningful relationships with our clients.Over time, we want this role to grow into a future Director and equity holder in the business. Its a long-term opportunity for the right person who brings maturity, self-leadership, and a drive to help scale something great.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Portfolio ManagementManage end-to-end delivery for a portfolio of SME client groupsOversee compliance, structuring, tax planning, and ongoing advisoryBuild rapport and lead regular client meetings and planning sessionsWorkflow & Team ManagementManage workflow across a team of juniors and our offshore divisionDelegate, review, and drive delivery in XPM and AsanaTrain and mentor team members to lift capability and accountabilityTechnical ExpertiseReview complex financials, tax returns, and structuring outcomesProvide strategic advice to founders, family groups, and private business ownersStay up to date with relevant legislation and standardsLeadership & GrowthContribute to strategic internal initiatives and process improvementSupport the development of productised advisory models and reporting toolsParticipate in leadership meetings and partner with the Managing Director on key business decisionsAbout YouExperience & Skills:Ideally 8+ years in public practice accounting (6 years minimum)Proven experience managing client groups, team workflow, and offshore deliveryHighly organised, confident, and able to manage context switchingStrong commercial acumen not just technically sound, but business-mindedQualifications:CA or CPA qualified (essential)Registered Tax Agent (or intention to become one) strongly preferredPersonal Attributes:Self-sufficient and proactive doesnt need hand-holdingStrong communicator and relationship builderClear thinker, quick to problem-solve, and comfortable under pressureMaturity and professionalism able to lead by exampleOpen to the long game willing to earn the right to equity and leadershipWhy Join Nine Advisory?Real career opportunity: Future Director/equity partner potential for the right personStructured portfolio: Start with ~$400k$600k in fees and grow with supportWork with high achievers: A focused, high-output team that values quality over fluffSmart systems: Xero, XPM, FYI Docs, NowInfinity, Asana built to help you succeedMentorship & autonomy: Work directly with the Founder and shape your role over timeBalanced culture: Clear expectations, flexible delivery, and no micromanagementOur Values What Guides UsAt Nine Advisory, our values shape the way we show up for our clients, our team, and our work.
