This role will give you exposure to the operational environment and processing behind the clearing and settlement of exchange traded Equity products within the Australian market. You will provide superior customer service to our clients globally, when they need it, in line with our strong regulatory focus. As a key contributor, you will participate in projects to operationalise new products, systems or changes that have a direct impact to the Australian financial markets.The senior officer is a touch point between the officers and management. It provides an excellent opportunity for an individual to take on leadership responsibilities. To succeed in this role requires strong attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders and be thorough in completing assigned tasks and processes.What You Will Be DoingUnderstand and operate the ASXs clearing and settlement system for Equity products CHESSEngage and service a diverse range of stakeholders inclusive of brokers, custodians, system vendors, compliance officers and regulatorsContact point to resolve and respond to issues and queries raised by internal and external customersCustomer readiness of new products and client on-boardingManage stakeholder queries ensuring alignment with the ASX Customer Communication PrinciplesMonitor and update operational procedures and risk controls and meet internal and external audit requirementsAssist in the operationalisation of new products and services or technology upgradesCompile, maintain and report statistical informationBe familiar with and ready to execute ASXs BCP emergency proceduresProject involvement to improve client service across business units, build stakeholder relationships and collaborate to achieve efficiencies in project and initiative delivery ensuring positive outcomes for OperationsIdentify and implement process improvement to reduce operational risk, enhance the customer experience and develop technical changeProvide effective and timely notification of changes and outages to key operating systemsPerform duties associated with external user test environments including; system maintenance, resolving technical issues; system accreditations, and user acceptance testing for upgradesContribute to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for Equity Post Trade OperationsWhat You Will BringMust havePrevious experience in an Equity settlement related role in a fast paced operational environmentAnalytical experience involving the investigation of issues and problems, identifying and documenting their solutionsExperience in a customer facing role offering exceptional serviceCustomer Driven & Delivery Focused be an advocate for our customersTeam player understands it is a collective effort in order for the team to achieve its goalsAttention to detail errors are minimised to deliver accurate outcomes.Calm under pressure can remain focused in times of stressNaturally inquisitive asks questions to ensure understandingConfident decision maker make straightforward decisions and know when to seek backupGreat communicator able to get the message across in the best wayAnalytical thinker can evaluate information and seek a solutionCollaboration can work with multiple stakeholders to deliver a common goalNice To HaveExposure to Equities, Bank Treasury, or Broker processingPrevious experience with market issue resolutionAwareness of ASX clearing and settlement business processes and systemsSuccessfully completed the Operations Core Module of the AFMA Operations Professionals ProgramWe make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how youll help us to live our values.
