To support this, we are growing our delivery team and are now looking for an experienced Head of PMO to develop, embed and oversee compliance of the project management systems and governance across our key projects.The Opportunity:This is a newly created leadership role within Spark Renewables Delivery team. As Head of PMO, youll report to the Head of Delivery and play a key part in shaping how we govern and deliver our growing portfolio of renewable energy projects, from development through to operations.Youll be responsible for embedding and overseeing robust project management frameworks, ensuring schedules, budgets, and reporting processes are aligned with our KPIs and business objectives. Youll also provide independent insight to senior management on project health, identifying risks early and driving proactive solutions.Key Responsibilities: Lead the PMO function and contribute to the broader Delivery leadership team. Develop and implement effective project management systems, controls, and governance processes. Provide accurate and timely reporting on project progress and performance, including risks, issues, and recovery plans. Support contract finalisation, negotiations, and manage contractor relationships. Build and maintain portfolio-wide reporting tools, leveraging BI platforms for visibility and insight. Guide and support the PMO team, offering leadership and subject matter expertise across all phases of the project lifecycle. Ensure consistent processes for managing time, cost, risk, quality, and compliance, including escalation and resolution pathways. Oversee the use and administration of project delivery systems and tools. Foster strong working relationships across internal teams and with contractors, suppliers, landowners, and external stakeholders.This role offers broad exposure across all aspects of renewable energy project delivery and a chance to shape a core function within a fast-growing, purpose-driven companyWhat were looking for: You have a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction, or Project Management, along with 10+ years of experience delivering or managing large-scale projects, ideally in renewable energy or infrastructure. You hold a PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification. Youre deeply knowledgeable and passionate about renewable energy systems, construction methods, and Australian standards; and youre across WHS, environmental, and legal compliance requirements. A natural leader, you know how to bring out the best in people and build high-performing teams. Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis are strengths of yours; youre confident working with the numbers.
