Managing Director, Accounting Advisory Services - Melbourne or SydneyOur Accounting Advisory Services practice undertakes a wide range of engagements supporting and assisting our clients with complex accounting matters, the related commercial implications, and the practical development & implementation of solutions. Our clients include public and private businesses, banks, private equity houses, and law firms.Our team of seasoned professionals has extensive experience supporting clients through regulatory & reporting matters, transactions & restructures, new accounting standards & restatements, accounting policy & control development, audit readiness & remediation.As a Managing Director, you will help lead our accounting advisory services practice with responsibility for selling and delivering services. You will have a strong knowledge of the accounting advisory process, especially regarding the application of accounting standards, problem definition, and solution development, as well as the ability to navigate complex stakeholder arrangements and help our clients balance commercial and often competing objectives.What Youll DoYou will build in-depth knowledge of your clients'' objectives and opportunities to design and implement strategies to assist them through difficulties or efficiency challenges and prepare them for future opportunities.Responsibilities include:Develop long-term relationships and identify opportunities that lead to significant sales or referrals, effectively communicating service offerings internally and externally.Develop marketing plans and activities aligned with market trends and emerging practices.Support senior team members with knowledge, experience, and support during projects.Manage organizational and contractual project budgets.Lead and manage projects in complex environments, ensuring client retention and developing innovative solutions.Manage client and project portfolios, negotiate fees, and meet commercial objectives.Coordinate with practice leaders to address complex client needs.Determine methods and procedures for new assignments and coordinate team activities.Review analyses, reports, and presentations to ensure quality and timeliness.Mentor, coach, and support team learning and development.How Youll GrowBe part of a global team of experts across disciplines.Work for a leading international consulting firm.Engage in small client teams for closer involvement in pitches and decision-making.Grow within a dynamic, entrepreneurial team, developing new products and services.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.Experience in audit or assurance services.Strong understanding of technical accounting advisory and compliance implications.Track record of building client relationships.Experience in developing market and revenue plans.Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.Strong reporting, analytical, and process skills.Knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle complex financial data.Leadership experience in team development.Ability to manage multiple client matters and meet deadlines.High professionalism, work ethic, and integrity.Willingness to travel to client and FTI offices.Our benefits include attractive remuneration, parental leave, flexible working, professional development support, wellness programs, and more.About FTI ConsultingWith over 8,000 employees worldwide, we work on high-profile engagements impacting history.
