Our aim is for our people to share in our success, enjoy our products and reap the benefits of their hard work within a supportive environment where work life balance is encouraged!About the role:We''re looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and qualified Maintenance Fitters to join our Orchard Hills team in permanent roles.Day Shift 6am - 6pm. 3 - 4 days a week of 12 hours shifts equalling full time permanent hoursIn these hands-on and fast paced roles, the successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and wider team by attending to various breakdowns in the factory and improving the level of service in repairs and maintenance through reducing downtime, improving efficiency and continuity of operations.What you''ll be responsible for:Performing fault finding on a range of mechanical machinery including Packaging equipment, Palletisers, Conveyors and Food Processing machinery in generalEnsuring that the plant operates with maximum achievable uptime and equipment availability.Investigating equipment failures and implement improvements to eliminate recurrence.Conducting detailed PM inspections as well as carry out corrective actions during the shift.Reading and interpreting mechanical assembly drawings/mechanical schematics including pneumaticsUnderstanding equipment technical specifications and application to processing systemsAdhere to the Site WH&S and Quality requirements and targetsAbout you:Youll be trade qualified in Fitting and Turning (Australian local certified etc)Minimum of 5 years experience in an FMCG environment (food production environment preferred)Proven routine preventative maintenance experience.Welding skills TIG & Stick desirable.Familiarity/exposure to power transmission systems and PneumaticsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics.A keen desire to improve your skills and to share your knowledge with your co-workers.Initiative and ability to self-motivate and work unsupervised.Commitment to health and safety and ensuring that best practises are followed in the workplaceExcellent communications skills you are great at keeping everyone in the loop!A love of teamwork you enjoy working with others and are always willing to lend a hand when needed.What can you expect in return?A supportive working environment (with plenty of snacks on hand!) where you''ll feel engaged and valued, career growth and mentoring opportunities, Birthday Leave, Access to discounts on Retailers, onsite parking (including electric car charging stations) and a focus on health and wellness (like Wellbeing Days!) to make your workplace more enjoyable!If you have the experience we are looking for and you wish to join a company where you can have pride and passion in what you do, please APPLY NOW and submit your application form**PLEASE NOTE: Applications with the completed Application Form which will be emailed to you will only be considered.
